Launched in 2024, the Piano Summer Academy Camp is a destination for young pianists eager to refine their skills, connect with fellow musicians, and immerse themselves in a dynamic, inspiring environment. Founded on a passion for music education and artistic growth, our camp has become a transformative experience for students of all levels.
A Tradition of Excellence
From its inception, our academy is dedicated to nurturing talent through world-class instruction and performance opportunities. Last year, we have welcomed 55 students from the twin cities including one international student from the Philippine. The experience they had within that week had positive impact on their attitude and inspired their study throughout the year. Our faculty consists of distinguished pianists and educators who are committed to help each student’s unique artistry.
What to Expect in 2025
This year’s camp promises to be more exciting than ever! Held at Bethel University Campus from June 26th to July 2nd, students will enjoy:
✔ Daily Studio Class & Two Private Lessons – Daily performance class or topics of the teacher’s choice & Learn from acclaimed instructors in personalized sessions.
✔ Performance Opportunities – Recitals, ensemble music collaborations, and a grand finale concert.
✔ Composition Class & Music Appreciation Class – Working from a basis in music theory to learn how to compose melodies and organize ideas into forms, creating accompaniments & lecture on selected gems from piano literature, making connections between the music and its cultural context.
✔ Collaborative Music-Making – Play duets, ensembles, and even experiment with improvisation.
✔ Engaging Social Activities – Mississippi River Cruise with lunch, sculpture garden and many other fun activities to bond with fellow musicians in a supportive, creative environment.
