2024 Chinese American Convention “Chinese American Convention,” organized by United Chinese Americans (UCA), is the largest national get-together event, the most engaging open platform, and a meaningful network of like-minded community activists, civic leaders, entrepreneurs, elected officials, academics as well as aspiring youth. Since its inception in 2016, it has become the much expected community wide public event.
For 2024 Chinese American Convention, with the theme of “Embracing the Civil Rights Movement of Our Time,” the Convention will attract up to 1,000 participants from all over America, Canada and beyond, with multitudes of networking opportunities throughout the entire Convention.
2024 Convention kicks off with its signature UCA Congressional Day visit, bringing the aspirations and concerns of the community to US Congress. It ends with a Congressional reception on Capitol Hill, bringing together scores of Members of Congress and their staffers to meet and mingle with Convention goers, expanding and deepening our influence on and outreach to US Congress. In the following hours and days, the organizers will host welcome reception, hold Movie and Dance Night, special receptions, pre-Gala reception, followed by the much expected Gala Award Dinner.
This year, the Convention will have five distinct tracks:
1) National Youth Conference;
2) National Mental Health Summit;
3) AAPI Political Action Summit;
4) Community Building and Civic Engagement;
5) Entrepreneurship and Career Growth.
Beyond these exciting programs, speeches and events, the most exciting part of it has always been the people who choose to come. No other Chinese community event would bring together so many people who want to serve the community, explore Chinese American way of life, mentor the next generation, and strive to be the change agent in this troubled world. So many of them have forged lasting partnership and enduring friendship, which is the real reason why many keep coming back.
