We are very pleased to inform you that Mall of America®, in partnership with the local Minnesota Chinese Community and local Ethnic Communities are planning to host a Moon Festival Celebration and The 250th Birthday of America event at MOA on September 27, 2026. Under the theme “A Dual Celebration in Shining Harmony”, the event honors both the enduring Chinese tradition of family reunion and this historic American milestone. This will be a grand gala and celebration. We are inviting some well-known folk artists to join us in the celebration, promoting exchanges of our ancient culture, arts and heritage with local ethnic communities and artists, showcasing authentic Asian culture to bigger American communities.
As you may know, China has over 10 million of Hmong people living in several southern autonomous counties, closer to Vietnam, Laos etc. Many of Minnesota Hmong people have visited China in the past 10 years. We are inviting Art Troupes from local Chinese community to join our Moon Festival celebrations with Minnesota Hmong, Indian, Japan, Korean, Lao, Thailand, Vietnam etc. Communities. By bringing these artists from local Chinese and ethnic artists together at Mall of America, we are hoping to create a cultural performance that would be time-traveling with the ancient Asian community shared heritage, praise the greatness of modern life in Minnesota and America, promote the ancient tradition and heritage in the State, and engage communities with similar cultural and art backgrounds.
Please request the registration form from [email protected] as soon as possible if your organization wants to participate the performance and culture exhibits (ONLY a few tables available). The deadline for registration is September 12, 2026.
