Dear Community,
On Saturday, July 26, the Council on Asian Pacific Minnesotans will host our 2025 Legislative Session Recap. At this event we will convene legislative leaders for an in-person discussion of the potential impact of recently enacted policies on our communities, with a special emphasis on the key issues identified in the 2024 Community Priorities Survey (Access to Healthcare, Legacy, Employment and Wages, and Affordable Housing).
The event details are as follow:
- Date: Saturday, July 26, 2025
- Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Location: Minnesota Humanities Center – 987 Ivy Ave E, St. Paul, MN 55106
The program will consist of an opening plenary discussion where legislative leaders and committee chairs will respond to audience questions. The second half of the morning will consist of group discussions with state leaders, including representatives from the executive branch agencies. We hope this format will foster an engaging and informative experience for our communities.
The Council’s goals for this legislative session recap are:
- To inform you about key legislative outcomes of the 2025 session
- To foster direct communication between you and key legislators
- To provide community members with opportunities to comfortably share and learn about the workings of the legislative branch of state government
To register your interest and share what topic you would most like to hear about, please fill out the form here by July 21.
We ask that you set aside time in your busy schedules to join us for this important conversation. The state of our state and nation requires that we all do our part to ensure a more vibrant Minnesota for all.
We hope that you will join us, and please share our invitation with your networks.
Thank you,
Andrew Morris
