The 2025 Mid-Autumn Festival will bloom in the fruitful golden autumn of October.
On October 4th, Minnesota China Friendship Garden Society and the Association of Sino- American Neocultural Exchange will again co-organize the 5th Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration “Twin Cities Harvest Moon, China Garden Abiding Love” at China Friendship Garden “Liu Ming Yuan” in Phalen Park, St. Paul. Many Twin Cities artistic and cultural groups, organizations and individuals will also join this year’s event.

Event Highlights
Joyful Singing and Dancing
This year, we have invited some new Asian arts groups to participate in the performance section. On the event day, the Twin Cities Chinese community, many local cultural and artistic groups and individuals of various ethnic groups will present a variety of cultural and artistic performances such as dragon and lion dances, traditional dances, vocal music, instrumental music, Tai Chi and fashion displays. This section has always been a highlight of our Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations. All ages, at Hmong Plaza 1:00 pm to 6:00pm.
Voices in the Light
Celebration of Qu Yuan, The Father of Chinese Poetry/An Exiled Political Protester, the opening event of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Selected voices followed by open microphone. All ages, at Xiang Jiang Pavilion, 11:00 am- 12:30pm. Shakuhachi performance to set mood prior to the readings.
Mid-Autumn Festival Activities
This section will be another highlight of this year’s event. You can experience activities such as guessing lantern riddles, Chinese lacquer fan making, fun Mid-Autumn Festival-themed book competitions, and parent-child games. Test your wits with riddle-guessing, try your hand at giant ground calligraphy, make a marble fan, enjoy traditional games, and take home a prize! All ages at Xiangjiang Pavilion, 2:00pm to 6:00pm
Gourmet Food and Mooncakes Tasting
If there are no food or mooncakes, how can the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration be complete? Asian food vendors in the Twin Cities will provide a variety of gourmet food, snacks and flavored mooncakes for everyone to enjoy on site. All ages: at Liu Ming Yuan, 1:00 pm to 6:00pm.
Information and Culture Booths
The Twin Cities ethnic cultural groups, companies and individuals will promote and introduce their history, culture, services or products from which you can learn and obtain a lot of information. You can also shop for small crafts and souvenirs on site. Adults: at Liu Ming Yuan, 1:00 pm to 6:00pm.
Happy Family Photo Time
On our event day, several Chinese American photographers will take family photos for you and your family in front of the “Xiangjiang Pavilion” and the “Mid-Autumn Festival Family Portrait Backdrop” and capture the happy reunion of you and your family with the lens. Complimentary services. All ages, at Liu Ming Yuan 12:30-1:30pm; 2:30-3:30pm; 4:30-5:30pm
Dress Code We actively encourage everyone (adults and children) to wear your ethnic clothes or costumes.
